Traitors and Spies in our midst.

Saw this link in another (Lefty) blog and couldn't get over the map on this site.

Most of it doesn't really shock me. A lot of large cities, most on the coasts, where one would EXPECT to find liberals, at least the filty-far-left kind. I mean, there ARE liberals, and a bunch to be sure just down the road from here in Liberalville, Lawrence, Kansas. Hell, I graduated from the University of Kansas, I KNOW HOW FUCKING LIBERAL IT IS! But what is this, there are liberals in the south? Texas? Austin is the U of T, granted, but what about Nashville?, Atlanta?, BumFuck Sprinfield, Missouri? Hell, my ENTIRE family is from there. There aren't even any fucking minorities in the entire town! Talk about weird. The whole damn town is filled with Evangelical Christians, how could there be any liberals?

Things about this world will never cease to amaze me.

I ran cross-country and track in high school.

I will even brag that I was a two-time Missouri state champion.

One of the reasons that I had so much success at it was, I believe, because at one point, I was getting my ass handed to me.

I took a bunch of lumps as a freshman when I ran varsity, especially my first season of cross country. That one season alone taught me things about myself that I never knew.

I didn't win a single meet that year. I learned that what physical gifts I thougt I had were not enought against others who were either equally gifted, or were willing to work harder. I think that I maybe finished as high as tenth in my best performance that year, nearly qualified for state as well, but running that season was the hardest thing that I had ever done. Probably still is.

Fortunately, I wasn't a complete failure at it, and I knew that as I got older, my training would get better and my strength would increase. I eventually became a rather dominant runner, and even ran collegiately, however breifly. I never would have gotten even that far if I hadn't fallen a few times along the way, testing my will to get back up. When I read this,

"I also do not believe that any school or parent can "teach" self-esteem to a youngster. That's a quality kids learn on their own, through competition, hard work, success and yes... even failure. Sometimes, getting the shit beat out of you makes you stronger than you were before. It's a valuable lesson in life."

I was reminded of that lesson I learned a long time ago.

It seems that the Beast has awoken.

Silly me. I thought that the Kelo ruling was going to go down with nary a word said.

Boy was I wrong. And glad too.

It seems that regular folks are on the streets talking about the SCOTUS' latest attrocity.

Good. The more the better.

We the People need to get worked up about this. We need to dissect the issue here. We need to speak our minds, make threats. We need this dialogue now, more than ever. The Geek is right, Congress needs to quit with the petty crap, can't they see that Rome IS burning?

There have been FAR too many instances recently that have been outright attacks on Civil Liberties. McCain-Feingold, SCOTUS should have leveled it, but didn't. Raich ruling, should have made a statement and brought the issue out into the open, make it less taboo. Kelo ruling, should have stood up for the citizen and his inalienable rights. None of this is any good.

To me, the writing is on the wall. Hell is making a run, straight at us, on the pale horse. It is only a matter of time.

Keep your head up and keep the powder dry.

Time to check the pantry shelves.

Geek, if you read this, thanks for mentioning the Rome thing. It REALLY gave me some perspective.

It's Mencken time...

It seems that the time has now come for the next revolt.

As Mencken so eloquently put it, "Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit upon his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats."

I can't think of a more fitting end to this.

Talk of sedition is usually not taken very lightly, in spite of our (supposed) First Amendment rights, but that has not stopped many, mostly lawyers, from subverting those rights, since they think that the mere thought of such an act is, at the least, distasteful.

Such is the case with both the modern hoplophobe, and the typical 'Liberal' of this country.

Oh, well. The day has come and gone and it seems not another soul will notice that the God-damned Government has forsaken absolutely ALL of its proscribed restrictions, and written themselves a check for doing anything that they wish, now and forever, no matter what 'We the People' have to say about it.

I have thought long and hard about what it is to 'Be Free' and enjoy the fruits of that whole 'Pursuit of Happiness' thing. It has ALWAYS struck me as fundamental that private property is a cornerstone of that ideal, that one's home is his castle, and that it should be able to be passed from generation to generation, if desired.

No longer will the private citizen be able to say, "Fuck Off," to the local zoning board. My municipality could just as easily pass an ordinance tomorrow demanding that my deed be turned over to the town, for Its use. Greater good and all.

Bullshit, I say.

The day of individual freedom has seen another black and ominous cloud pass over it today.

When will the throat slittin...I mean, rain start?

Sit up and take notice!

If this doesn't make you:

A) Angry
B) More attentive to what the Donk rank-and-file actually think
C) Wake up and smell the Fucking Coffee
E) All of the above...

I don't know what would. This kind of shit just pisses me off to no end. This Galloway fellow needs to be thrown a shovel and a long line of hard, red earth in the middle of Kansas and be told to plow it from sun-up to sunset, and then be forced to lie in the tall grass to sleep the night away while the B-17 sized mosquitos suck that poisonous drivel out of his system. Only then will he be able to see what his 'ideals' truly mean.

Thanks to Les for posting this.
