While considering the situation of piracy on the high seas...

...over at Tam's, it seems that I may have spoken too soon.

I simply can't believe this shit;
"It "could escalate violence in this part of the world, no question about it,"said Vice Adm. Bill Gortney, commander of U.S. Naval Forces Central Command."
Honest to God, why keep that quisling pussy on the fucking payroll, if he's going to say shit like that after a successful piece of seamanship. Why don't you come on in with the rest of your team for the big win, bitch?

How about saying something like this, in the truest spirit of Col. Jeff Cooper;
"The will to survive is not as important as the will to prevail... the answer to criminal aggression is retaliation"
and,
"One bleeding-heart type asked me in a recent interview if I did not agree that ‘violence begets violence.’ I told him that it is my earnest endeavor to see that it does. I would like very much to ensure—and in some cases I have—that any man who offers violence to his fellow citizen begets a whole lot more in return than he can enjoy."
Seriously, it's a dangerous world, and more so over off of the horn of the Dark Continent. All ships should be armed to deal with these pirates, and that includes the mentality to prevail, as Cooper clearly stated. Shoot to kill, and quit worrying about escalation. If you don't the pirates surely will escalate their activities, and in a rather ambivalent sort of way.

It could also escalate hands-on Navy Seal special training opportunities!

Nothing like a little exercise, first thing in the morning!

"Release the Hounds!", or something.

Perfect analysis on this one.

We need to just wreak havoc on these two-bit pirates. Kill them until there are none left.
