Driving with someone else's money

Seriously, when I took the family back over to Krautland this past summer, you couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting a new Tesla on the autobahn. Or anywhere else for that matter. They were all over the place, especially on the A7.

This shouldn't have come as much of a surprise, as the Krauts have a rather active Green Party streak within their ranks, but even the Germans with their obsession of fast, luxurious cars, just can't stand the idea of spending more than they have to to buy something nice...if they can get someone else to pay for it. So finding that there was a subsidy involved was no real shocker, except to the kleptos in the gummint, it seems.

It's called GAMING THE SYSTEM.

Why am I not surprised that the Tesla market is big in a subsidized virtue-signaling kinda way? Plus 1+ for the Autobahn but anyplace there there's a "Hohenstrasse" is more twisty fun. Frohe Weihnachten and all that!
