Can't say I'm unhappy to hear it...

though my '96 Nissan Hardbody is still spitting out 25-26 mpg at 174K, and showing no signs of getting tired at all.

I think I'll keep driving it until the wheels fall off, as it's been paid for, for almost 10 years now, and seeing as I slog about 350 miles per week to and from the office shackles, it's still giving great service, all things considering.

The Krauter and I are giving serious consideration to buying another vehicle, and the current incentives are nothing short of fantastic, as most manufacturers are currently reeling, and are desperate to almost give away their inventory, especially sport utility vehicles. And since she works from home, and it would be used infrequently, we're giving serious consideration to this:

The Greens can piss off.

Yay!! But do you really need to haul a boat and a 40-foot trailer around? My wife loves the newish '06 F-150 stealth 4x4 (without the big godawful "!4X4!" sticker on the ass-side) but it's a bit tall for her to climb up into. A F-250 wouldn't even fit in our parking spot. ;-)

Actually, the Krauter was the one who was insistent on getting something with enough oats to handle towing duty, 'cuz she wants a horse!

Not that we have room for one, but she's hopeful that we'll be moving in the next few years to someplace where we, no she, can have one.

I'm not complaining, just saying.

My wife is 5'-nothing. I put a set of nerf bars on the Tundra and she can get in just fine.

Yeah, mine is only about 5'-4", and will definitely be looking for some assistance on entry, though she's the one who just "needs" it.

Probably looking at doing the same nerf bar trick, regardless.
