This country simply reeks of Stasi
You are now witnessing what the Germans did to one another during the Cold War; a surveillance state, where your neighbors are actively encouraged to turn you in, in exchange for favors and money.
I really hope this bites some people in the ass, and soon, and that it is well documented, for posterity.
