What's it for?
All of the recent drama in the news has had me in a rather malevolent mood.
I hear non-stop shrieking from the usual morons about "gun control," or similar rot.
More laws, they say.
That'll surely DO something, right?
Gotta "Do Something," to make themselves feel better about tragedies.
The Goobermint's gotta make The Badness stop with their mighty LAWS, doncha know?
It got me to thinking about shit I've seen in the past about Goobermint, and "what's it's there for."
I recall watching Jimmy Carville on the idjit box a number of years ago, shouting about "What's if for?!?" when commenting on the purpose of government. In the specific case of his ranting, it was with regard to the hurricane that ravaged his home state, if I recall correctly.
Providing for its citizens, he argued was the responsibility of the Goobermint.
It's really much different, and the fundamentals for the USE of such were clearly outlined centuries ago. What's it for? He should know this:
"we institute government to secure our rights.such government derives its just power from the consent of the governed.
when government becomes destructive to such ends it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it.
when the state attempts to impose despotism it is the right and the duty of the people to throw off such government and provide new guards for their future security."
Really, it can be no clearer.
Take that as a warning, Donkeys.
Come for the sword, and you will get it fed to you.
