So, it's a 'right' when you say so?

Fresh from the official NRA press release, I see that the second suit filed regarding the original Heller decision was given a ruling in district court by U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, District Judge Ricardo M. Urbina, stating that registration, magazine capacity bans and "assault weapons" (he doesn't even know what that means) bans were A-Fucking-OK, because the Supreme Court in its earlier decision did not, in his words,
"...explicitly hold that the Second Amendment right is a fundamental right,"
To which I must ask Mr. Urbina, what then, is a fundamental right? Only those to which you, or the Gummint, grant them?

Really, the sophistry involved in the verbiage of that link is nothing more than a coverup, as "scrutiny," no matter the "level" involved is capricious and unilateral in its application. It does not surprise me in the least that some statist clown, that'd be Urbina, rules (yes, just like some medieval monarch) that "governmental interests" are more important than basic human rights.

What gall does it take for someone to claim that there is some sort of tiered system to rights, and one that is explicitly stated in the fucking instruction manual isn't part of the "fundamental" rights?

I have one word to describe this asshat judge, TYRANT.

He will be dealt with, eventually.
