If I get pulled over by the police, and they ask to search my car, and I know there's a bag of cocaine in the trunk, I'm probably not going to consent to the search.
Even if I only have the dirty plastic bin that holds my lunch, I'm not consenting to a search...but you're right, The Stupid is pretty powerful.
