Correlation versus Causation

Morons, one and all.

By all means, read the whole thing, but what the supposed "experts" are reading into this is far more than what I'm seeing.

Relying on two basic, and unrelated, variables to make broad interpretations of this situation is beyond bizarre. The wholesale price index, considering such factors as the drastically rising price of wheat, due to shortages in supply (NOT increased demand), or the recent spike in pork belly prices, could be easily explained, and is not necessarily indicative of a strengthening job market, with more people having more money to spend (the demand side, again), despite the supposed "drop" in unemployment rates (a manipulated number, regardless).

This is all right out in the open, for all to see, and it's surprising that these fucking "professional" economists can't see the forest for the trees, as it were.

Of course, most Leftists would dismiss my explanation as being nothing more than tripe from a simpleton Mid-Westerner, which, considering the source, is a pretty good complement.

Umm, let's see:

Russia has imposed a moratorium on wheat exports because, geez, spring was abnormally hot and dry in the west and the crop went to shit, ditto Ukraine and east-central Europe, and it ain't lookin' too good for the other grains either. If the Southern Hemisphere's crops (Australia, Brazil, Argentina, et.al. don't come in either and all the grain prices spike, is that then to be interpreted as "a strengthening economy?"

I'd rather call it "a fucking rock-solid disaster for hard-working folks just trying to make ends meet" but then I'm only a paleolibertarian rube from flyover country who has trouble with the finer nuances of that type of rhetoric.

Sooner or later you'd have to think those morons in MSM have got to get tired of giving Jugears his daily tongue bath using logic that makes the Gordian Knot look like a retard's toy. Unless it's all they've got left, a notion I won't dismiss out of hand.
