Fine point, indeed.

QotD, from Marko;

"Not to put too fine a point on it, but exhorting people to vote for McCain withthe “he’s less bad than Hillbama” argument is like urging them to pick rapist #1over rapist #2 on the grounds that #1 is a little less well endowed, and that he promised to let you pick the position"

Yup, and that's as good an analogy as I've heard about the situation, and the rest of the post gives a good indication as to why voting for any of the three viable candidates from either of the two establishments is an exercise in the reduction of liberty.

It's not a happy result, but I can't vote for the obvious and blatant Socialist, I can find a degree of difference especially where the 2nd Amendment is concerned.

I just don't have any confidence in McCain doing the right thing here.

His complete lack of respect for free speech and his wanton disregard for the average person to express such, that I simply can't let myself vote for him.

Bottom line; if he wises up, and gets a good running mate (Rice, Forbes...), I might vote for him. Just something to piss off the Marxists, and keep a good eye on the lawyers in Congress playing fast and loose with the lawyerly stuff.

I hate them all.
