I wish he wouldn't have said that...

ya know, like out loud;
"...if I had a brain in my head, I would liquidate my father's guitar for about fifteen grand and buy gold and ammo."
'Cuz I've been considering something similar for the last several weeks, and the most recent news didn't help.

Selling the damned car would be excruciating, as I've owned it for 20+ years, and I rebuilt her myself. All of it. And I've been vacillating on it now for a few months, as driving it is infrequent, and it's not any sort of "primary" vehicle for me. For now, I've deemed it unnecessary. A decision that I will regret making, either way, I'm sure.

Possibly more to the point of what Billy is getting at, and for whatever it's worth, I have a side of beef that was ordered about 2 months ago that will get stocked in my freezer next week. This is something I'd normally do this time every year, but right now, it seems far more imperative that I do so, more so than just an ordinary chore.

This whole situation is going south, and I fear we're just seeing the beginnings of the next great meltdown.

"We're off to see Obama, follow the Yellow Brick Road - to Serfdom!"
Keep the Mustang, it's real Detroit Iron (or from the plant in San Jose? - the data-plate knows) worth more than money, and you can't eat gold .

It's been years since I've actually looked at it, but I'd bet on it being code 'T', Metuchen, delivered to DSO 53.

Lifelong resident of KC, and it was layered with about 8 coats of the original color when I stripped it to bare metal, back around '89/'90. That one surprised me. It's always been Springtime Yellow, and that's what it is was painted when we decided to finally do the full respray.

I don't see it. I really don't. We are nowhere near the Great Depression, and this bailout, even though I don't like it, will ensure that we won't be getting there anytime soon.

Additionally, if the Democrats don't manage to ruin it with their typical leftist stupidity, the .gov might even make money on the whole thing. Honestly, this thing was inevitable. The .gov created the problem with their socialist engineering, and now they have to pay to fix it. Unfortunately that lesson will be lost thanks to the media's stupid parroting of Obamapelosi's talking points.

You can't give irresponsible people houses, and expect them to pay for them. The .gov fostered this habbit, and now we are all paying for it.

I stand corrected.

6F - Dearborn.

But it was DSO 53.
