Nevermind the illegaler bits...

Instead, move straight to the bottom of the story,
"...one count of unlawful possession of a firearm after a felony conviction. "
But, but, but...that's just not possible. There is a law in place, fergoshsakes, that makes it impossible to own a gun if you've been convicted of a felony.

(smartass off)

The other shit is nothing more that window dressing for the proles, attempting to prove to the masses how much the gummint is doing in the War-on-(some)-Drugs.

If someone is so dangerous that they cannot be trusted with a firearm, why are they walking the streets? Conversely, if we can trust them with cars and chainsaws and matches, why can't we trust them with guns? That's what I've always wanted to know.

Trusting them with cars, indeed.

My dad taught me that a car was a 2-ton bullet. With the associated mass increase, it has far more momentum than a bullet, and was therefore at least as dangerous.

I've always believed that.
