"Well, you just can't kill that many people with a knife"

It was an incorrect assertion from a former co-worker several years ago when he muttered it to me, after doing his usual schtick of jumping up and down about the abject horror he was in over the expiration of the misnamed "Assault Weapons Ban," and how it was all Shrub's fault for letting that insipid non-sense lapse, or something.

He was shocked, shocked, to learn that I, as an architect, who must of course be a fellow Liberal Idiot, by definition, was not only a gun owner, but that my interests were not merely in over/under waterfowling pieces valued at that of a new German mid-sized sedan.

No, his hobby-horse about magazine capacity was that it was just not plausible that anyone could use more than ten rounds for anything other than murdering people. Those were his exact words. He then goes on the ridiculous rant about how someone just can't kill as many people with a knife as he could with a gun with bunches of ammo stowed in the magazine.

Turns out he was wrong.

BTW, how's that gun control working out for the peasants in New York?
