Take her at her word

She means it;
"Every aspect of our lives must be subjected to an inventory..."
Folks, that's a would-be tyrant talking, there, and the real problem stems from the fact that there are flocks of people who are in complete agreement with her, who are, nominally anyway, Americans.

This, in my mind, is an invitation for a civil war. There can be no peace with people such as this, since they are willing to take everything about you, including your life, its production, and possibly even your happiness, and subject it to their whims: what, and how much, you eat, the methods and frequency by which you travel, what you will be wearing, your domicile and how big it will be (right down to its appearance, livability, furniture...Hell, even the color). THIS IS NOT FREEDOM! IT'S TYRANNY!

When will the idiots learn that Freedom isn't about what you think others should do with their lives, but what you do with your own, and why that principle is so important?

When?

Kim Jong Il it testing you, Barry...

...and you are telegraphing your (imminent) blink.

I wonder how Short Dick knows that Barry's feet are in quicksand, and is almost frozen with fear?

He must be reading his news on the intertubes. How much taller does it make Short Dick feel when the POTUS is doing some consensus-gathering, feel-good bullshit diplomacy, while trying to pawn-off the responsibility of dealing with the despot onto China?

More missiles, more plutonium enrichment and testing, and more frequent threats are in store for us in the coming years.

Whose cause, Barry?

Your's?

Am I to believe that it's just, because you say so?

Explain this rather ethereal metric you are currently proposing. Elaborate.

Your boss is demanding it from you, right now!

Moron.

Truly disturbing

Breathless admiration for the man, if the title is to be believed.

Look at this bit;
"Obama is pushing the political pendulum from the conservative approach of Ronald Reagan, who said government was the problem, to a more liberal philosophy that holds that only Washington has the wherewithal to provide the answers."
Caught up in the cult of personality, much?

I'm curious if the "author" of this piece realizes that the dirt on his knees is rather obvious to those of us who are awake.

Wipe your mouth, Ken Walsh, your admiration is showing.

Couldn't do anything but laugh

Headline;
"Survey: Country in midst of centrist era"
Of course, look where the poll came from.

One of the usual suspects.

No agenda, here, I assure you...and so do they.

Into the Maelstrom

I've been a reader of SurvivalBlog almost from its inception.

I'm not much of an apocolypse, world-ending-by-humanity-and-civilization-collapse type, but there are some incredibly useful threads of various topics over there, and I can almost always find good tips or project advice on everything from gardening to domicile security to economics.

When reading this morning's first post topic, Into the Maelstrom, and a Refuge on the Far Side, I'm going through each bullet point, nodding my head at most, when I run across... "Drastically scaled-back city, county, and state services--including police and fire departments"... and I stop.

Please, give me a big, steamy, hot slice of that, RFN!

I'm all about cutting "services" and "programs" that are offered by the anything-but-benevolent gummint, and it can't start soon enough.

Sadly, those who occupy the offices of public popularity often deem themselves "too big to fail," and we're likely to get even more, and far more draconian, taxes and fees, all for the supposed "privilage" of living, if the deflation-inflation cycle posited in Mr. Rawles' scenario comes to pass.

Ball jars and bullets...the new blackmarket currency.

Laughably stupid

I couldn't help reading this, then laughing out loud;
"The Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2009 would authorize Attorney General Eric Holder to deny the sale or transfer of firearms to known or suspected terrorists..."
Are these fucking twits serious when they write this vapid nonsense? What is being addressed, here, that current laws aren't?

Or this;
"Common-sense laws that protect us from terrorism must be put in place," and,"Our role in Congress is to create laws that protect the American people, not to uphold those that give terrorists the right to bear arms."
from Rep. Peter King, RINO - NY (shocker), sponsor of the bill.

Jeezis H on a popsickle stick, are we fucked!

These people are serious too

Spotted this the other day on the intertube.

Shaking my head at the absurdity of it all.

What the politicians should do is what they are currently doing with the auto industry; takeover Coke and Pepsi. Then, they could demand that the shareholders get nothing for their rapidly plummeting stock, rape and pillage the company for any profits they've stashed, and shut the whole operation down and put people out of valuable jobs.

Then Barry could get more idiot box time and make all sorts of wild claims and accusations, wrapped up in the feel-good bullshit that the Donk-controlled Congress spouts (no doubt backed up by some statistical, and completely manufactured, bullshit), all in the name of protecting us from ourselves, since we stupid Americans just can't give up the soda pop that is supposedly putting undue stress on the nation's health care system, delivered in heaping mounds on a hot plate by the feckless MSM to boot.

Just fucking fuck, already.

Look, I'm not much of a soda drinker, but that's completely irrelevant. What this is, is nothing more than a power play, here. It's an attempt by morons, with an average IQ of about 100, at putting on the yoke of socialism, willingly, and taking the fruits of labor from many solely for their own concerns.

NOT ONE person who's affected by obesity as a result of defiling oneself with gluttonous consumption of such products will ever be helped as a result of this proposed tax, and we have literally hundreds of examples from history to point us to why this is.

This whole charade is just sickening to watch. The losers are running the show, here, folks, and they are winning, handily.

My counterproposal

via Beck.

Headline: "Prison Awaiting Hostile Bloggers"

He's right, how serious must it get?

I'm really curious how it is that the other members of Congress even allow this shit to be proffered for consideration. Laugh that bitch out of there. Shame her. Arrest her stupid ass, right there on the fucking House floor.

I wonder if that fucking cunt would consider my assertion that she be tried for crimes against humanity for her actions to be within the scope of her wouldbe law?

Death is NOT too serious a punishment for shit like that.

Just about time to spit upon the ground,

Simply unbelievable.

I'm not impressed.

Professor Volokh thought the Ninth circuit court's recent decision of the incorporation of the Second Amendment on state and local goverments was, as he states, "A pretty big deal."

I'm not so enthused, Professor.

You want to know why?

Here.

Fuck the lot of 'em.

Pragmatist bullshit will get thrown out the window when you have enough lawyers poking around at legal minutiae. Dickheads with hammers see nothing but nails, ya know, and the dickheads are at the helm, and openly poking at an exposed nerve.
