Those who can't see

Is it not obvious to the schmucks who write these pieces, when they are openly engaging in partisan political horseshit?

How about this?,
"...Only Texas, with 57 so-called "patriot" groups, outstrips Michigan's 47, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a nonprofit civil rights organization in Montgomery, Ala., that tracks hate group activity."
First of all, the SPLC, otherwise known as the Southern Preposterous Lie Center, isn't any kind of authority on, well, anything, except getting their stupid asses in print and camera, regularly. They've deliberately engaged in a smear, here, by way of associating true patriot groups with the much used moniker "hate groups." There is a difference, and their bias clearly shows.

So, it's a 'right' when you say so?

Fresh from the official NRA press release, I see that the second suit filed regarding the original Heller decision was given a ruling in district court by U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, District Judge Ricardo M. Urbina, stating that registration, magazine capacity bans and "assault weapons" (he doesn't even know what that means) bans were A-Fucking-OK, because the Supreme Court in its earlier decision did not, in his words,
"...explicitly hold that the Second Amendment right is a fundamental right,"
To which I must ask Mr. Urbina, what then, is a fundamental right? Only those to which you, or the Gummint, grant them?

Really, the sophistry involved in the verbiage of that link is nothing more than a coverup, as "scrutiny," no matter the "level" involved is capricious and unilateral in its application. It does not surprise me in the least that some statist clown, that'd be Urbina, rules (yes, just like some medieval monarch) that "governmental interests" are more important than basic human rights.

What gall does it take for someone to claim that there is some sort of tiered system to rights, and one that is explicitly stated in the fucking instruction manual isn't part of the "fundamental" rights?

I have one word to describe this asshat judge, TYRANT.

He will be dealt with, eventually.

A laugher

I snorted when I read this bit;
"Trichet said the Greeks are crooks, and they've been lying about their numbers. There is deeply embedded corruption within the Eurozone. Combined with the endemic European socialism and there is just no way you are going to get spending cuts and raise taxes and maintain a GDP that makes any sense of the percentage aspect of debt to GDP."
You know, one could just as easily substitute the government of the US of A in place of the Greeks or substitute same for the socialist mess that we currently have, right here, as we are certainly running the GDP toward paying for government handouts and interest of debt in a mere ten years, as was clearly stated just yesterday.

The whole world's gone mad, I tell you, and I can quickly point straight at the problem, and its name is Government.

Time to end this folly and get back to people running their lives.

To read Von Clausewitz

I present to you, dear readers...all three of you, the recent and rather lengthy post to come out of Sipsey Street. In it Mike describes our current situation in the Window War, via excerpts from 1984, and I point you to one very important part, towards the end. Mike, as he points out, keeps getting cut off in an radio interview he granted with some supposed political 'conservative,' with Mike's 'host' declaring, finally, that we were bound by what he felt were...well, conventional politics;
"he insisted that those of us who love liberty should continue to use the political process -- and ONLY the political process -- to attempt to sustain our God-given rights..."
...to which I had to stop momentarily, since there was an obvious gap in the interviewer's knowledge of what constitutes politics, as war is nothing more than a, "continuation of politics by different means."

Then again, I've never met a Leftist who knew anything of history, or even philosophy. Last week's facts are discarded in favor of the de jour turd that is pulled from the trash, brushed off and sold to the idiots for more than its worth. That is why they can NOT learn from the past, since it is all bunk to them, and therefore, there's nothing to learn from it.

This is war, people. Right now. It may not look like what you think war is, but that does not make it not so. It's merely in a different form...for now. Given enough time, and possibly, no probably, additional maneuvering, the opposition will show itself for what it is, for that is what it wants to do. And in doing so, they'll have a complete stranglehold on the production, economy (what's left of it) and the long arm of the law (already a scary precipice - think the Obamacare fiasco) bearing down on the citizens.

Preparations can not be laid too deeply nor too quickly.

More drum thumping

How bad does it have to get before the Fascist Liberals wake the fuck up?

The day of reckoning is within clear sight of right-effin'-now. 2020 is but ten years down the road, and will be here before we even know it.

Looks to me as though the severe ideology of the Leftists has won, and will drown what is left of America within my lifetime, and it's entirely due to the general apathy of the citizenry.

H/T to Mike at Sipsey Street Irregulars for the link.

What'd they say about keeping friends and enemies?

How close are you, Barry?

Labels: , ,

Spending even more that they don't have

It's just a free fall down the toilet now, folks, to wit;

"...the Obama administration is announcing a plan to reduce the amount some troubled borrowers owe on their home loans.

The multifaceted effort will let people who owe more on their mortgages than their properties are worth get new loans backed by the Federal Housing Administration, a government agency that insures home loans against default."

And, just where is this money coming from? I guess the presses are just spinning at top speed, 24/7, now.

Where's Barry hiding his genie, 'cuz I want one.

Substituting activity for productivity

Listen;
"With 22 pen strokes, President Obama signed into existence not just a historic healthcare reform law but also monumental piles of paperwork: New member registration forms. More claims. Ever-expanding databases. And on top of that, pressure to cut costs."
Now, how is that supposed to work?

The true, of course, is that it can't.

A pox on all of them for this outrage. I hope Barry and his enablers in Congress rot in Hell.

Inventing things

From Phil,

"So far over this last year, Congress has stated multiple times in multiple voices that Health Care is a “Right” and I have a “Responsibility” to buy insurance to cover my medical expenses so that my fellow citizens are not burdened by them. This was backed up by the President of the United States when he signed the legislation passed by the Senate in December and the House of Representatives on Sunday.

The new law also states that if I do not live up to my responsibilities of purchasing said insurance, that I will have a fine levied upon me..."

Here's the rub;
"...Not in the most leftist history class was I ever instructed that fines could be levied upon “Rights”."
Yup.

Hell to pay for this one, and that's a good thing.

Labels: , , ,

Who couldn't see that coming?

All you need to know;
"The cost of protecting U.S. health insurers' debt with credit default swaps rose on Monday after the U.S. House of Representatives approved a healthcare overhaul that includes major new taxes on the insurers."
Jeezis, what did the dolts think would happen?

H/T to SurvivalBlog.

Saying it like it is

I seem to recall looking at the birth rates of Gen-X, oh, years ago, and noted that the year of my birth, 1972, was at or near the bottom of the Big Baby Bust that defines the Flower Power Generations' want for liberation from the traditional family structure, or some other rot.

I realized quite quickly thereafter that my generation was simply doomed by way of lack of numbers. It's quite impossible, looking at the whole mess from twenty-odd years of experience hence, to see anything other than a tidal wave of slavery coming from either side of that curve, by way to the vote.

The whole mess of Social Security was built on the notion that the next generation would be far larger in numbers than the one before it, thereby ensuring that there would be more than enough people paying into a system that would always be losing beneficiaries, and all would be right with the world (see Ponzi scheme). Except it's been a program on the march toward expansion, since its inception, and has done exactly what all of these programs do, force more dependency upon those who need more of the opposite.

Can't wait to see it all crash. Where's the popcorn?

And why the Fuck should it make any difference?

Why?

I don't give a shit what the fucking Euros think of what we should and shouldn't be doing about healthcare.

Nice to see the MSM doing their usual schtick for the Evil Party in all this, just look at that headline;
"Obama, Democrats Begin Reaping Political Benefits Of Reform"
I think they are all about to have their collective orgasm over this. Can't you just feel it?

Also, every time I see James Carville's face anywhere, it just makes me convulse.

I'd like to beat the living snot out of that asshole, and I probably would, if every given the opportunity.

Guess I'll be moving to Idaho soon

Just what I wanted to see today, a sound drubbing in our own legislative body at giving a big, raised, middle finger to ObamaCare.

Idaho got their shit together before the mess was even done in Washington.

I like their initiative.

Boise might be good, but I'm thinking of something smaller...and affordable.

So much to look forward to

Just loved that last one;

"...And use a condom, it's the law!"
Just what we were looking forward, too, doncha think?

Actually, it's what the Lefties were looking for...all along.

I've a problem with the whole bit, on general principle, but what I've heard more than anything else during this fight was the "public funding for abortion," argument, and rightly so, but, and here is where you have to start applying that principle thing; what if the Gummint starts in with birthing controls, because they now think you are using too many resources, medical or otherwise?

What then?

What happens?

Do they take your babies from you to be raised by other families who've been less lucky in their attempts at conception? I wouldn't put it passed the fucking creeps. Worse?

Are you scared yet?

Sickening

I watched it go down at 9:45 on CNN, my time.

My advice; grow eyes in back of your heads.

Because it's not about "putting it up for a vote,"...

...or even democracy, as the fucking Donks are continually harping about, it's about pushing an agenda, by means of rank power. It's not something that is beneath them either, since they are drunk with power right now, and the lack of ethical bounds by these mad robbers is out in the open;
"The Maryland Democrat (Steny Hoyer) also said the public didn't care about process but about results,"
If that doesn't say it load and clear, I don't know what else can.

Everyone who has even the slightest clue about what is going on right now should be doing two things: A) writing and calling every one of their respective 'representatives' in Congress, demanding that this travesty be stopped, and B) stocking the larder and loading the ammunition into the appropriate magazine.

Enough is enough.

Exactly as we knew it'd happen

And if you are to believe Barry and the rest of his ilk, they have the answer for 'fixing' it all.

I'm really starting to lean toward Mike Vanderboegh's take on the whole mess on ObamaCare, because it's all interrelated.

In NO WAY is any of the shit they are proposing going to do anything other than wreck what is left of America.

Consider your means for resistance.

On the meaning of words

I told my Dad, right out loud, not too long ago, during a casual conversation about politics and the current, sorry state of affairs that the idea of liberty, as it was envisioned as a precept of this country, had been almost entirely abandoned.

His retort was quippy questions about what needed changing. Fair enough, I suppose. My answer was, generally, that the leviathan needed to be killed, and the sooner the better, since keeping government at extreme distances from the general citizenry was paramount to keeping liberty, and not coincidentally, economic production, rolling.

He scoffed at that answer as being too vague, and poked further.

I then told him flatly that everyone would be far better off without any government at all, especially here, given the evidence of its malfeasance.

He laughed, in rather gesticular way, and said something to the effect that that would lead to anarchy. I then told him he hadn't the slightest clue what the word anarchy actually meant.

He got kinda quiet. The man with the English degree.

Chaos and anarchy are NOT synonymous, and their use should be treated with extreme care.

Anarchy is a word whose meaning has been used rather cavalierly for generations now, and used incorrectly, hence its almost complete abuse, today. Just because it's commonly used for describing something similar to chaos does not make its meaning so. That is a gross misappropriation of thought, and is endemic of a society quickly on its way to ruin.

File this one under Eco-Phreak Irony

I present to you, ladies and gentlemen, one of the funniest conundrums for the Eco-mentalist of this land. We supposedly 'need' technology to 'save the planet' (whatever that means), but to get that product, something must be produced, and the only way to produce these items is to mine for the raw materials.

Well, it appears that we, the U.S. of A., have a rather substantial cache of these materials for making certain, and to ask the Greeniks, necessary objects of a supposed "Green Economy," to include stuff for the beloved cell phone (the biggest excuse given as "work" that I've ever seen), 'hybrid' motors for automobiles (a misnomer, to be sure), and wind turbines (that certainly do nothing to power anything except local, specialized consumers). This list goes on.

The hitches of the situation are many. Currently, China is doing the heavy lifting on sourcing and processing most of the rare earth elements that are being used on both consumer products, as well as heavy industry, for most of the world. And when the shortages, due to demand as much as anything, come around, what are we, the U.S., going to do about it? Probably go to court over the issue, and drag the legal manure around for at least a generation, whilst China catapults itself straight out ahead of us in every conceivable productive category.

Additionally, another dripping layer of irony is going to be this; ALL of the equipment that'll be used to get to these deposits (assuming, here, of course) will be made of steel(hint, it ain't green) and powered by barrels of crust-sourced, oily diesel fuel.

I hope the Enviro-Whackos cry over this.

Fertilizer production up, in the likeliest of places

Read this bit, and attempt to keep from laughing;
"Jobs in Washington are growing quickly, and in 2008 the city produced more in goods and services than almost anywhere in the country."
'Bout wet myself when I read that.

Sorry, I don't care what numbers or stats you throw at me, I know better than to even think of those assholes and prostitutes in D.C. actually producing anything, except excrement.

The sad part is, since it was put in to print, the hordes will no doubt believe it.

Insanity, defined

That's what I'd call this.

It's a repetitive action, in hopes of getting a different result, and Barry is too stupid to know it.

And to answer the question that he's positing, I'm certain of one thing, the market can make a better correction than can some stupid government mandate.

End of fucking story.

Barry should take notes

Barry,

You can start your dumb ass here;
"Portugal announced new austerity measures Monday to avoid a debt crisis like the one engulfing Greece, cutting welfare benefits and government hiring as well as selling assets and raising taxes on the well-off." (my emphasis)
It's really quite that simple, and it's just something that you and your fucking cronies are going to have to get used to. And to anyone who's jumping up and down about that last bit, fleecing the "rich" with more tax liability, go fuck yourself, because all you are attempting to do is pat yourself on the back, without really doing, making or producing anything, all the while, Rome's burning in the background.

The Government gets to program your kids

Or, at least they do in Bundesrepublik Deutschland.

I'm glad these folks came to the U.S. to get away from a damned law.

They can call me anytime they want. My wife is a German expat and I'm looking to do the homeschool thing with the Boy in a couple of years too.

Good on 'em.

Take this law and shove it

At least that's what I'd say, if I were a resident of Utah.

The Man can stick it.

I don't care if they are "loosening" the current restrictions or however you'd care to define it. The simple fact of having to register to catch rain water on your own turf, with some governmental agency, is absurd. Regulating the rain that fucking falls from the sky?

They may as well just call Al Gore and capitulate, telling him that his pay-for-whatever-environmental-sin-du jour power grab scheme is just a dandy idea.

Is my contempt showing?

"Supreme Court to hear gun-rights case that reaches beyond 2nd Amendment"
And they are expecting me to take the rest of their shit seriously?

Irrespective of the McDonald case and the incorporation non-sense, what other rights do you suppose the cannibals will insist upon putting up for a fucking vote?

Hope the rest of you have your shit together, 'cuz I'm seeing a bumpy ride up ahead.

Utterly speechless

Per the piece;
"Lawmakers sometimes must enact policies that, even if unpopular at the moment, will help the public..."
Let Queen Nancy spell it out for you, verbatim;
"We're not here just to self-perpetuate our service in Congress...We're here to do the job for the American people,"
as she force-feeds yet another onerous law our throats, the Donks vaunted "Healthcare Reform" horseshit.

And some people are incredulous when I say that I have nothing but contempt for those loathsome assholes in Congress.
