Turning the clock

So, as it is every few years, my birthday lands on Thanksgiving, as it has this year.

I've looked through the list of famous folks who share this birthday with me before, but it's always seemed rather odd to me that there are at least of couple of bloggers who share it as well, and it's even more strange to know that they're fellow libertarians, too.

I'd attribute this to the water, but we're not even remotely close to each other.

Weird.

Clue for Barry about this economic mess

In the article, he claims,

"Help is on the way."

I'm not sure what, exactly, you are referring to Barry, but if it's anything more than waiving your fucking 'magic wand' about, to the delight of your minions everywhere, to be sure, I'm just not interested in your proposed solution, regardless of its supposed "promise"

Here is some sage advice, if you'd care to take it; stay the fuck out of the way, you incompetent lout, I don't need your help.

QotD

From the Breda Fallacy;
"...the fringe Left, where the life of poultry dumb enough to drown in a rainstorm is worth more than that of a human being. So think about that while you're sinking your teeth into a big piece of breast meat and be thankful that you're not alone - 48% of us would like to punch a hippie too."

Stocking gear

With National Ammo Day now behind us, I thought I'd share some pictures of at least some of the loot that I'd decided just couldn't be ignored, considering the recent electoral results.

That's a box of 20 surplus G3 mags from CheaperThanDirt, and a battle pack of recent manufacture surplus Lithuanian 7.62 NATO.

Upon opening the mag pouches, which were all of the thick, rubbery style, I found that there were a variety of dates and condition, with a few that were obviously used, showing wear, but also several appeared to be as new...

And 4 of which that were still in their clear plastic wraps, in clearly unissued condition, straight outta Oberndorf.

Score.

Keep your powder dry

It may have to last you for a while.

With Waxman (a true loon, if there ever was one) in the Chair position of House Energy and Commerce Committee, we're going to see all sorts of stupid shit coming out of the asses in the EPA, from dictating emissions from automobiles to lead-based ballistic projectile bans.

Another step closer.

Bring it!

Over at DirtCrashr's digs, we're having ourselves a little discussion amongst friends about what to do with the proposed Brownshirt Youth Camp agenda by the Left's own Joseph Goebbels, Rahm Emanuel.

In the comments section, Existingthing had something to say that should be taken in complete seriousness, and I'm pretty sure he's not fucking around by stating;

"...try to take my kids and I'll make that fight look like a motherfucking bake sale."

And with my first one only a few weeks away from arriving, I know I'm not fucking around either.

On to my blogroll, Existingthing goes.

Hold on...

...people, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

Seriously, yesterday I visited two different outlets that one might label as "dealers of death" and procured myself several hundred rounds of pistol ammo of various sorts, and several magazines for a couple of pistols that could use some spares. I cashed in some reward dollars in one store and the total came out to something around 3 bills.

I've been buying other stuff lately like they're going out of style. I think all of us in the firearms/shooting community have been. And I don't think we're all that enthused about it either.

And this morning I'm sitting here, drawing stupid fucking shit that I couldn't care less about, all the while thinking about stuff like this.

For sure, it's already started.

But, the Lightworker was supposed to fix it

Headline;

"Stocks plunge for third straight session"

The market, with ten minutes left to trade today sits at 8,293, down 4.7%, or about 400 points.

Clue for the clueless, it's all going to get a lot worse before it's over.

And of course, there are those who'd be more than happy to outright confiscate your cash, so that the Gummint can "watch it" for you, in complete security. (cough-Bullshit-cough)

Be aware that the fix is in, and the other side is beginning to show their cards, albeit unwillingly.

Load up.

Too little too late

Someone needs to explain to Steyr that they've got, ya know, a market here, in the USA, and it's pretty substantial, and that they've got a pretty good reputation with regards to their AUG patterned products and that they have been quite lax in getting their collective excrement cohesion.

I tuned into their site the other day, since I have a rifle that I'd like to get a spare mag for and see this headline;
"New Steyr AUG coming soon to a dealer near you"
Sabre Defence Industries is going to be building it, so it should be a good clone copy of the original, and it will obviously be a domestic manufacture, so civvy-legal purchase should be OK...but, did anyone on either side of that deal even bother to look at the calendar? I mean, check out the press release date.

Hello!!! Is there anyone home?

Did you guys not notice that you made up your mind, like a DAY before a general election for the Presidency? Did either of you actually pay attention to who won? Did it not register that the Messiah isn't exactly down with the whole civilian armament agenda, and that he has a very compliant Congress to pass more ridiculous legislation, similar to one circa 1994?

I'd love to buy one, but I'm afraid it's too little too late.

Made of fail.

More proof of the MSM being in the tank for the Donks

Headline on Yahoo! News, just now;

"Sarah Palin returns to Alaska, but remains a lightning rod for controversy"

I may just pick a random journo and kill them out of spite.

Goddamn each of you fucking Red Commie Motherfuckers, all to Hell!

She seems to be the favorite media target right now for the blame game. I've got news for you stupid fucks, if it wasn't for her, I would have just stayed home on this election cycle. She's more integrity and interest in being an American than the rest of the stooges on both tickets combined. I don't seem to be alone on this, either.

Seriously, go fuck yourselves.

Abject horror

That's what I have after listening to the dolts in my office, just now, arguing over how "outdated" the electoral college is, and how we need to go to "popular vote" or a weighted scheme like Maine and Nebraska.

I'm absolutely positive that this is endemic of the current misunderstanding of how the Constitution clearly outlines how the office of the presidency is to be conducted.

NONE of these people (both parties are being represented in the above argument, too) knows that they're talking about amending the Constitution to change the process, either.

George Orwell's daycare center is open for business.

Fucking morons.

I just sit here, mouth agape at the stupidity of it all.

Loss of rational thinking

It's amazing (in a profoundly disturbing kind of way) to watch a grown man go that far into a tantrum.

As logic and rational thought is obviously lost on Feffer, what with the insistence on the whole deodand model, David Codrea puts the obvious, subtle smack on him anyway.

Nicely played, sir.

Willingly ignorant

I quote, from the beginning of Sullivan's fifth paragraph;
"Cheney and Bush, unlike any presidency in American history, have dangerously pushed constitutional government to the brink of collapse."

Pure horseshit.

The man either hasn't studied American History at all, or is willfully omitting pieces. I have only to point toward that excrement FDR to prove my point. And I can say with great confidence that if it hadn't been Roosevelt pushing through onerous bullshit, expanding the executive power of the Presidency, we might not be having this conversation at all, right now. There are almost countless others, and should be known by anyone who has studied American History in the slightest.

The rest of Sullivan's piece is filled with more of same;
"But none of this compares to the task of restoring the rule of law and Constitutional balance. Unlike McCain, Obama has never wavered on torture or habeas corpus or on keeping the executive branch under the law. His deep understanding and awareness of the Constitution eclipses McCain's."

Deep understanding of the Constitution? Uh, no. He doesn't even have the remotest grasp of the document, nor the limitations of government that are proscribed therein, and there is ample proof of this, available to anyone who cares to look with a descriminating eye.
"...until this unlikely fellow with the funny ears and strange name and exotic biography emerged on the scene, I had begun to wonder if it was possible at all. I had almost given up hope, and he helped restore it"

Ah, Hope from the Messiah. Getting caught in the cult of personality, I see. Make sure you don't gag on it while you're down there, like Chris Matthews.

He is right about one thing, however, and we can agree on it;
"We cannot be a beacon to the world until we have reformed ourselves"

Reform. I suppose it's all in how you might define that word, so I'd like to define it as a reform toward being an American. Proffering ideals like prosperity and freedom. Things you wouldn't know much about, since those values aren't anything you'd care to hold, at all, Andrew.

Zero Pollution Motors falsely advertises car

As I noted earlier, anyone who commits to any sort of "logic" with this device, in an attempt to prove its "footprint" or "environmental impact" being zero is engaging in sophistry or outright lying.

That is all.
