A message to all

In case any of my three regular readers hasn't noticed, Francis Porretto's blog, Eternity Road, has been posting a regular and very serious course of short and meaningful essays on current, relevant subject matter, either directly or loosely based on another essay by Angelo M. Codevilla, from the most recent issue of The Amercian Spectator.

It'd behoove you to go read the series that has been posted on Making Amends. There are others that have been following on its heels. They too, are worthwhile.

That place is about as spot-on with what is going on, and pointing out exactly what is wrong with, not only the U.S. of A., today, but the entire fucking world.

Take it all in.

Then let your mind fully integrate the ramifications of the actions of the government of this nation over the course of the last 19 or so months.

Scary, isn't it?

More Police State horseshit

You must now be subjected to fingerprinting and "register" with the "appropriate authorities" to do engage in a regular business transaction between two or more consenting parties.

May as well be a registered sex offender.

I'm really quite done with this bullshit.

What happens when the leeches go hungry?

Not that I pay too close of attention to Arianna Huffington's rag, but this doesn't look good.

Anyone know what the The Spoiled, Fat Children of Romeā„¢ did while Nero watched the city burn?

I'm guessing their decorum was less than exemplary.

Tighten that grip some more, dolts

Via Sipsey Street, we learn that the assholes in Massachusetts have introduced a bill that would make it law for all of their electoral votes from that state to go toward whomever wins the popular vote in a presidential election.

Those stupid fucks haven't thought this bit out in the least, and it's clear that is the case;
"What we are submitting is the idea that the president should be selected by the majority of people in the United States of America,"
Says state Senator James B. Eldridge, one of the bill's supporters.

What happens, then, Jimmy, if the state clearly picks the loser? Too bad, you might just surrender your constituents' votes to, and I'm sure you're going to be aghast at this, a Republican.

I'd say, "Ah, Fuck'em, already," but they've clearly already started the proceedings with doing that to themselves.

This country simply can not take too much more of this sort of thing. Fracture is sure to follow.

Where are we?

These thugs are raiding a woman's farm for producing something that doesn't meet up with their definitions of what should be put on a label, because it's a law.

This is food, damn-it, and it is absolutely NO ONE'S business through what source I might be procuring it.

I don't give two-licks-of-a-dead-wet-rat's ass about cooperatives, or commercial sales possibly being involved here. And damn the fucking FDA and every "health department" in the nation; they've never done me an favors, as I know I've gotten sick from eating at joints that had passed their latest "health inspection."

Here's the kicker, for me anyway;
"What's behind all these raids? They seem to stem from increasing concern at both the state and federal level about the spread of private food groups that have sprung up around the country in recent years -- food clubs and buying groups to provide specialized local products that are generally unavailable in groceries, like grass-fed meats, pastured eggs, fermented foods, and, in some cases, raw dairy products. Because they are private and limited to consumers who sign up for membership, these groups generally avoid obtaining retail and public health licenses required of retailers that sell to the general public."
I suppose I'm to believe that this is really about permits, which means taxes, and in the end, control.

I'm sure that's right.

Do you all see where this is headed?

Not pretty from where I sit.

H/T to Mike at Sipsey Street for the link.

Unpossible

Just couldn't be, what with Mayor Daley keeping the streets safe (his actual turf too) by not allowing guns and dangerous stuff to get into the hands of the proles and what not.

Go ahead.

Stuff that genie back in that bottle.

I already know where this story goes from here, but Daley and his band of thugs just can't figure it out.

Read this

Does everyone understand what is going on here, and all of the implications therein?

This is organized theft, by our government.

If it were any other entity doing this, they'd all be arrested and charged with both racketeering and conspiracy.

Does that shit hit home now?

Read, again, the "Conclusion," at the end, with all due respect and credit to Mr. Rawles;
"I anticipate that the tax situation in the United States will only get worse, as the currently unfolding depression continues. Federal, State, and and local "revenue enhancement" will be the order of the day. Do your best to protect yourself, legally, as the hard times get harder."
He's right on with that revenue enhancement language, as the thieving bastards will outright lie to you, at every opportunity, as they slowly extract more of life (and money) from you.

Also, you want to know what I have to say about that "protect yourself, legally," horseshit?

Fuck every God-damned last bit of it.

We now have a gangster government that is out of control, Hell-bent on outright destroying all life that it sees fit, so that its Leviathanic ass can keep on consuming more and more.

It is your right to live that these monsters are attempting to take and control. You therefore have the right, your birth right, because you are here, to protect yourself, and your means to control your future, by any means necessary.

That is all.

Unintended Consequences? What are those?

"But, but...that just can't be!"

I can hear the True Believersā„¢ saying it already.

This was to be expected, too.

And I will now point out that the intention of the law; supposedly to provide everyone with healthcare, regardless of financial responsibility, is now having the opposite, real-effect.

Made.

Of.

Fail.

So, the Stupid Son-of-a-Bitch (That'd be Barry Ooooooo) should just snap his fingers and get on the idjit box and come clean about his abject ignorance of, well, everything, to the entire populace of the country, and then beg forgiveness.

And then resign.

And then tell his even less bright VP to do the same.

Look for a mattress

Got an account that you've not been using for a while, or just waiting for a rainy day (BTW, it's raining pretty heavily, the world over, for at least a couple of years), or retirement?

The BritGov thinks it's just A-OK with taking your money and giving it someone else.

Think Barry and his Band of Highwaymen have taken up the idea of doing the same thing over here yet?

Oh, wait. They have, haven't they.

Like I said, look for a mattress, and don't bother with FRN's, they're going to be used as toilet paper before this is over.

What's wrong with this headline?

It reads,

"Unemployment benefits extension clears hurdle"
Jeezis.

As if the "benefits," here, were some damned hero, needing to catch a break to win a race, or something. Am I to cheer on this sort of thing, as if it's something that just must be done, as some sort of moral prerogative?

I think not, and am entirely of the opposite way of thinking, in fact.

And, of course, the MSM isn't in the tank for Barry, nor Big Gummint, because they say they play it right down the middle...and we should take their word for it.

I'm really starting to relish the day that I can hoist the black flag and break out the knives, putting them to the throats of these petty tyrants that are foisted upon me and constantly assailing my liberties as well as intelligence.

I'll take, "How stupid people drive, for a thousand."

I knew what the real cause was long before all of the pissing and moaning came to the surface on this.

Cause: Stupid people who've grown lazy, unskilled and distracted while they need to pay attention to what they are doing.

The clincher, via WSJ;
"The U.S. Department of Transportation has analyzed dozens of data recorders from Toyota Motor Corp. vehicles involved in accidents blamed on sudden acceleration and found that at the time of the crashes, throttles were wide open and the brakes were not engaged,"

Quelle surprise.

Focus is key whilst behind the wheel.

My remedy; toss the automatic transmission entirely out of the automotive world. It's a big power hog anyway, and it only enables people who should be concentrating on the act of driving to divert their attention toward merely steering.

The Narcissist in Chief has a problem...

HA!

The headline reads, "Public's faith in Obama hits new low."

Really, I hope it goes even lower as he keeps steering us, as best he can, straight toward the brink of collapse.

Stupid son-of-a-Bitch deserves all of the contempt I can muster.

Ben, you answered a question, but didn't explain your answer...

...So I'm giving you an 'F'!

Fucking dolt.

How many 5th-graders would it take to explain to the Chairman of the Federal Fucking Reserve that his theory of a "rebound" is as shaky as a house built on sand?

We're good and fucked at this point.

All the World's a stage

It's surprising to wake up in the morning to see that Our Fearless Leader is coming to my home base to pitch his wares to the masses.

One of his stops is a little company called Smith Electric Vehicles.

Supposedly, they are going to save Mother Gaia from the Evil-Oil-Burners, or something.

You'd think that if the POTUS is going to come over to your house to pimp your shit for you, you'd have a pretty serious presence in your own yard, but I have to give my testimonial here, I'VE NEVER SEEN ONE OF THEIR VEHICLES TROLLING MY FAIR CITY.

Ever.

BTW, if any of you retards out there had a clue, you'd realize that the "technology" being touted here is that of taking a battery (whole other post about these), an on-board vehicle charger, an extension cord, and then plugging it into a fairly standard outlet when the battery needs a top-up...which is connected to the power grid...which is fueled by...

Coal.

ALL of it.

Really, not too green.

Fucking idiots.

It's July, for Christsakes!

What do those east coast pussies think the tempurature is supposed to be?

It gets to one hundred degrees in the mid-west in July and it doesn't make continual headlines for the first half-hour of the national news.

But there's no bias in the media.

They say so, so it must be true

Except that those same dolts can't account for the whereabouts of their eyes, mouth, nor ears.

I'll do my own thinking and analyzing of the facts, thankyouverymuch.

The Socialist Party can Piss off.

And we're stuck with the bill, too.

Nice having an over-reactive Gummint with a whole branch devoted to our "welfare," doncha think?
