Interpretations from the Left

What he's too much of a pussy to say, here, is that his contempt for us "Red-Staters" is such that he not only doesn't care that we'll be consumed by the next great flood (I'm laughing about this, BTW), but, more importantly, he's thinly veiling that he hopes that we'll all die, in one way or another.

I loved this bit:

"It should be considered acceptable, in this stifling new world, to say, 'Shut up. We told you this would happen.' "

Tell you what, you arrogant fuck, when the supposed Next Great Apocolypse happens, it will be just as "acceptable" for me, or anyone else who considers your piece to be threatening, to do a little "meet and greet", you ignorant shit. How do you feel about that?

And just so everyone can see the latest dipshit to make my "list", here's a pic of Dave Lindorff, Global Warming Death Cult Member.

Dear god

The hate that foments in that part of the world truly astonishes me.

I wonder what it is that does it. Is it the fact that a woman was, and once again wants to be, President of an openly Islamic state? Is that fact what turned her opposition to a pack of rabid dogs? I'm assuming this, a female as head-of-state, is in contradiction to the Koran's teachings, and as such, death to those who would oppose the traditions of the 7th-Century Goatfuckers is A-OK.

The backlash from this will be something to remember, I think.

Some serious planning needs to take place, immediately.

They must have a learning disability

I can't see how doing what they're doing is in any way, "reduc(ing) the number of infections to newborns and help(ing) break down the stigma associated with the disease."

I'm also of the opinion that this "option" in the bill to decline the screening will become less than voluntary, if not soon, eventually, and no doubt by less than scrupulous means.

It will all boil down to the idea of "What's best for society ?," or some other rot.

He is spinning in his grave.

Froehliche Weihnacht,

And I'm really hoping the new year brings good things regarding our upcoming move back to Krauterland.

Six to one,

half-dozen to the other.

That's what I've thought since about 1994 on this issue, and I'm convinced that I've been right about the subject ever since. If the CFL is such a great idea, let consumers prove it with their wallets. If the incandescent bulb is vastly inferior, for whatever criteria, people will quit using it. However, the comparisons that are made for the supposed superiority of the CFL aren't completely true, and anyone who knows about their construction and actual use/abuse can delineate this from the crap that is spouted by the enviromentalists as "truth".

Yeah, making a law for this sort of shit was a good idea. (Is my contempt apparent?)

Why, oh why, do these people think that foisting this sort of non-sense on the general populace is such a good idea?

Another step toward the Gestapo kicking in your door for "Energy Abuse" or whatever term they'll make up out of thin air for this.

Fuckers.

Update, 12/23: Yes, yes, YES! It seems the word is spreading.

The headline tells me all I need to know...

about both Vlad the Poisonous, and TIME, the Western Commie Pulp Rag,

"Choosing Order Before Freedom"

Yeah, I'm sure that's right. Seriously, stumping for that man has to be considered a new low. Their fawning over him is just nausiating:

When this intense and brooding KGB agent took over as President of Russia in 2000, he found a country on the verge of becoming a failed state. With dauntless persistence, a sharp vision of what Russia should become and a sense that he embodied the spirit of Mother Russia, Putin has put his country back on the map. And he intends to redraw it himself. Though he will step down as Russia's President in March, he will continue to lead his country as its Prime Minister and attempt to transform it into a new kind of nation, beholden to neither East nor West.
Of course, they go on to admit that their POTY award isn't necessarily about doing something that's actually good for the world, but about rank power, or, as they put it leadership,

TIME's Person of the Year is not and never has been an honor. It is not an endorsement. It is not a popularity contest. At its best, it is a clear-eyed recognition of the world as it is and of the most powerful individuals and forces shaping that world—for better or for worse. It is ultimately about leadership—bold, earth-changing leadership
This is all pretty sick shit, if one stops to think about any of it. Normally, this kind of thing is reported nightly on the idiot box, and loosely called news, when dictatorial Heads-of-State aren't leading by example, but instead by fear.

Maybe TIME should rethink some of the criteria for this yearly anti-award, and give it to someone who's done something other than choose "Order before Freedom."

Not knowing what one is talking about

The interminable moron I've been arguing with at this post is simply mind-numbing.

"Expected value" isn't a term that exists beyond the minds of these people, and they just don't understand that. It's merely a way for them to ignore the argument and state that, "we just won't know what's happening, and since we don't know, we need to do it my way, since it looks like my way is better."

That sounds fine, until you grind that crap through the scientific method, just ONCE. Nothing can be proven about what they are claiming, over on that side of things, and they just don't understand that part. See, they are convinced that they're all correct on the matter, without ever knowing what it is that they're talking about.

Yes, yes, reducing emissions might be a good idea, and that part of it can be proven, that, for instance, a certain vehicle has fewer grams of CO2 produced per mile of travel than another, but that part of it isn't what the crux of the argument is about. The environment hasn't been proven, in any way, to be harmed by increasing CO2 levels, or that human action has had any real impact on those CO2 levels, even if we are contributing a certain portion to the atmosphere. There are too many variables in the equations to account for, and they WILL NOT admit it.

Your "Expected value" may not be anything of the sort, and in the mean time, more control is handed over to the likes of governmental bureaucrats, who are shouted at by the unwashed, to, "do something." And they'll do it, bygawd, since that transfers into votes the next election cycle. Oh, and this subject we're on has nothing to do with probability theory.

Fucking shit makes me want to puke.

Go ahead. Keep pushing on this and see where it goes. I already know, and you morons are not going to like the outcome.

Reds, in the unlikeliest of places

From the debate that isn't, an editorial, at the Commie-on-the-Hudson-birdcage-liner.

Slobbering idiots, who wouldn't know a thing about taxes, rates, or revenue, and how each effects the other.

From the very first in the comments section.

"It's easy, after five years of blood, to forget that the prime imperative of the Bush presidency was always to redirect the budget surplus to its friends and to spend the federal government into paupery and disrepute. Gratuitous tax cuts and wasteful defense spending were always the one-two punch that was planned for their version of America in which more than a little chaos means good financial opportunities for the needless (cf. who benefits from Mine Resistant Vehicles versus from CHIP). Contemptible."

Not nearly as comtemptible as you, asswipe.

This asshat lives not more than a fifteen minute drive from my domicile, in the Commie-on-the-Kaw, Lawrence, Kansas. This isn't really surprising to anyone who knows something of that town, being the liberal suck-ass college town that it is, with little more than academia and college hoops keeping the whole thing going.

Ironic that the fucking idiot leftists are always spouting about, spittle flying from their filthy sewers, regarding how incredibly "right-wing" and evangelic all of us are here in fly-over country. Strange how we have plenty to go around over here. Fuck the lot of them.

More controversy

I was just mentioning the lying of the Lying Bastard of Global Whoring, when I ran across this.

Shocker.

Ya know, the WHOLE island known as Iceland is really just the top of a big volcano, and the fact that it has ice on it is really strange, considering the source of formation. It's so active that most Vikings still living there use geothermal heating, sourced directly from the ground beneath each home.

It should come as little surprise then, that an area roughly following the Gakkel Ridge shows slow spreading of the adjoining plates, with its attendent rise in volcanic activity, mostly in the form of hydrothermal vents. Oh, and this phenomenon has only recently been discovered, though I'd hesitate to say that its occurance is recent. This could be a reason for the supposed acceleration of Greenland's ice melt, but I also have to wonder if the measurement methodology has flaws, since some have found that in central Greenland, the ice sheet has been getting thicker.

Regardless of what can, and more importantly, can't be proven, the politicians and scoundrels will be more than willing to sell your ass for protecting the environment. There's only one way to go when governments are proposing to impose taxes on your spawn.

Load up, folks, and aim small/miss small.

H/T to Phil over at RNS, for this piece.

Seems the U.S. isn't the only one, there, Al

In what can only be described as blatant pandering by the media, there appears to be disent, from all places, Japan, where the non-sense about Global Warming/Climate Change originated.

Oh, the irony.

I also love the outright lies, in the same article, to wit:

"The United States is the world's largest emitter of greenhouse gases and the only major industrial country to have rejected Kyoto, which expires in 2012. It has been on the defensive since the conference began Dec. 3."

The U.S., of course, was passed as the World's Worst Polluter some time ago.

Just goes to show that if you repeat the lies of liars for a long enough period of time, they tend to be touted as "facts".

Piss off, Al.

Not much I can add to that bit.

Politicians, promising to save you while making you their bitch, all at the same time. Priceless.

Hang the lot of them, I say.

Oh, and if anyone can't see through the bullshit that these three charlatans are preaching about here, then they can piss off too. Creating business by capping emissions? This crap is absurd, and anyone with two bits of sense knows why.

I have advice for anyone who believes in this crap; move elsewhere, because it's going to get nasty, since this stupidity is going to have to be dealt with, eventually, in some way.

And don't worry Ahhnuld, I'll be writing my Congresscritters and telling the lot of them to fight this "cap" at any and all costs.

More disaffected yutes

So, a loser who has a felony drug conviction, recently lost his girl and his job after being kicked to the street by his parents about a year earlier (I really DO wonder why), still manages to acquire himself a gun (insert hoplophobic rhetoric of your choice here), and shoots up the local mall. I saw something similar recently, and pretty close to home.

I'm noticing a pattern.

I found this bit interesting, from Brad Garrett, former FBI agent, on ABC News,

"Malls are always going to be a soft target"

No shit. Is anyone taking notes?

You know, I really don't understand the 'why' of this whole mass shooting phenomenon, and I don't think anyone can really explain to me how it's going to be solved. I understand some the reasons for its manifestation, notably the aforemention angst, dissaffection and lack of satisfaction with certain circumstances of life in general, but why is it suddenly turning young men from all over the world into homicidal maniacs?

I have only one or two conclusions that I can draw from the available information, generally to this trend and not necessarily specifically, so I'll wait to see when the next similar act is carried out if it's following along similar characteristics of earlier shootings, notably the murderers themselves.

What he said.

I'm largely at a loss here on this.

Fine, take the report for truth. I can accept this. So, Iran isn't doing it now. They were doing it up to, say, 2003 then, and maybe even as recently as 2005. They are still making enriched uranium. I wonder why?

Why isn't anyone paying attention to what has been clearly stated in the most recent report?

Why doesn't anyone take some of what Acnefacedjihad has said, during this same period, at face value?

If the shrieking idiots, (again) call for Bush's impeachment, over this, I swear, I may be forced to start the killing early. What about the timeline to this whole thing do they NOT understand? What about the capabilities of that tyrannical regime do they not get? By all means, if the morons want to play all nicey-nice with Mahmoud, have at it. Honestly, I don't give a flying fuck what the "diplomatic" course du jour is for this month. Do it, get all of the face time you want, say all of the spin-doctor BS that you want, loud and clear. Fuzzy bunnies, peace/love/dope. Whatever. Just keep the big guns trained on the proper target, will ya?

Yes, by all means, go long on bomb shelters...and ammo.
